A Turning Point for NikkisCafe

The year 2018 marked a major milestone in the journey of NikkisCafe.

One of the biggest achievements was becoming the Official Media Partner of Chennai Malayali Margazhi Maholsavam, one of the largest and most vibrant celebrations of the Malayali community in Chennai. This opportunity opened the doors to numerous cultural, social and charitable events, allowing NikkisCafe to document and promote community initiatives while growing as a trusted media platform.

During this period, Mr. Suresh Kumar, one of the key organizers of Chennai Malayali Margazhi Maholsavam, became an important mentor in the early journey of NikkisCafe. Beyond providing opportunities, he shared valuable lessons in leadership, event management, volunteer coordination and community service. His encouragement and guidance played a significant role in shaping the vision of NikkisCafe.

Mr. Prasad Valayar, who served as the Media Coordinator of Chennai Malayali Margazhi Maholsavam, also played a vital role by coordinating media activities and providing opportunities for NikkisCafe to cover major events and community initiatives. His support helped establish NikkisCafe as a trusted community media platform.

Around the same time, NikkisCafe began collaborating with Yuva Kerala Arts and Sports Club Chennai under the leadership of Mr. Shibu G. Punalur. Through this collaboration, NikkisCafe covered sports tournaments, cultural festivals, social gatherings and community programs, meeting many inspiring individuals and expanding its reach within the Malayali community in Chennai.

From 2018 onwards, NikkisCafe became part of numerous large-scale events and public initiatives, documenting stories, celebrating community achievements and strengthening its identity as a meaningful digital media platform.

Looking back, 2018 was the flourishing year of NikkisCafe. It was the year that transformed the platform from a growing vlogging initiative into a recognized community media brand, laying the foundation for the awareness, education and community initiatives that define NikkisCafe today.
